The Good

One of the coolest features of Grocery Gadget is the app's learning ability. That's right, this sucker has a bit of a brain on it, memorizing the order in which you check items off your list and arranging them accordingly on future shopping lists so you won't have to double back a few aisles. Its automatic sync feature, which updates shared shopping lists to all of the mobile devices in your network, can make double-teaming a grocery store almost effortless and can shave some serious time off of a group shopping effort. And if you're the type of person who needs visual reminders of what you're looking for, you can take a snapshot of a desired item and attach it to your grocery list so you'll have a visual aid.

The Bad

The only negative thing about Grocery Gadget is that once you go app, you never go back. In other words, this is one application that could ruin you forever to the notion of actually having to take pencil to paper to write out a list of items you need to purchase. While many people won't be able to bid farewell to this now antiquated method of categorization soon enough, there may come a time when that skill may still come in handy. But even then, you've always got the option of your smartphone notepad. No more writer's cramp after all.
